1.This blog started as a way for me to talk about make-up and lip gloss and mascara, etc., and I haven't done that in a long time.
2. I've found out that when I'm stressed I am really, really forgetful. I keep doing things like parking on busy San Francisco streets with the windows down, or putting my keys in a different place every time I come home, or picking up a can of cat food to feed the girls a half hour after they've already been fed.
So...in the last two weeks I have bought not one, but two products twice. Or four times? Huh?
This is a pearly, creamy liquid that you can add to a tinted moisturizer (that's what I do) or smooth on as a highlighter before your powder. Even though the two bottles have different writing, they are exactly the same product. I bought the second one because I had an oh-yeah moment: "Oh yeah, I need to get that pinky highlighter I saw. I've been wanting to try it..." Within an hour of buying bottle number two I found bottle number one that had come home with me just two weeks earlier. Dang and blast! I went back to Sephora and told a teeny tiny lie to return it. I said it was too pearly, which it isn't, because I didn't want to confess that I'm such an absentminded shopper.
This was right around the same time. I was at Bed Bath and Beyond, thinking "Oh, I wanted to try that "Commander in Chic" color by Sally Hansen. Gotta get that...Oooo, last bottle, score!" And I had the same bottle at home, which I found twenty minutes or so after walking in the door. Blast and dang! So, on the happy side, this is really good nail polish. If you do your nails at home, it is easy with this polish because the brush is specially shaped and awesome, and the polish stays on a long time. Cool colors, too. I have "Calypso Blue" and "Lavender Cloud," as well, and they are very pretty and unusual.
In conclusion: I am making a list and checking it twice and trying to be very careful as I maneuver through this complicated life...and I'm going to have glowing skin and nicely manicured nails while I do it. :)
